The Maine State Chamber of Commerce held its 1st ever Maine Energy Summit in April in which we explored in depth energy issues in Maine currently being debated by the Maine Legislature. More than 100 businesses and elected officials attended. Due to the overwhelming positive feedback this will become an annual event.
With more than 1,100 bills printed and legislative deadlines looming, there's plenty to talk about this week! Among the items up for debate are workplace laws, mining regulations, telecom, taxation reform, and the biennial budget. Tune in to the week's Legislative Week Ahead for the latest details on the session's hottest topics!
This month on The Bottom Line, host Dana Connors sits down with Patrick Woodcock, director of the Governor's Energy Office, and Ben Gilman, senior government relations specialist at the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, to discuss energy policy in Maine, current legislative proposals, and how it affects Maine business.
Both of two-year legislative posters, contain color photos of all Senate and House members of the 127th Legislature, as well as a map of the state's legislative districts.
The free posters are available for pick up at the Maine State Chamber's office in Augusta, while supplies last.
